Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce you to Kiran Chetry

Is this what Klein was looking for? It would have been better for the sake of CNN to hire a good researcher or another producer to help with 360. I'm losing hope.

Was it me or did you noticed that Anderson didn't look too happy when he introduced her... I really wonder if he knew about the negotiations. .. or was it a total surprise while in the Amazon... I know he doesn't make the last decisions but the show has his name, and at least they should have gave that opportunity to Erica Hill. From her first appearance, she has to adjust her style to fit in... she came across as little bimboish... this reminds me when Anderson started co anchoring with Aaron Brown... Brown is still under contract with CNN and earning his paycheck... The irony of the industry...

Anderson didn't look too happy period. I would say the opposite of happy, the whole show. Makes me wonder, same question here ...

let's give her a chance, if they give her a little bit of retalin she might be quieter, and won't flash her panties on 360.

It's nice to see a woman host 360, but I can think of two women who would probably have been a better choice.

Kiran was officially hired today and she climbed up the primetime ladder very quickly. How fair is that. I'd be miffed. Especially if I were J. Roberts.

Granted she's only done one show so far, but she doesn't seem to fit 360, does she? Erika would have been a MUCH better choice.

She coud be another Deborah Norville type mistake - remember when she replaced Jane Pauley on "Today" and the repercussions?

she came form a morning news program which is alot different from evening news, I mean you could probably see that same type of things on the today show. I say give her chance.

That's the power Klein has at CNN. I totally agree with you on this one and now feel very sorry for John Roberts. His career at CNN may be in jeopardy now.

I don't think they're getting rid of John Roberts.

I can't tell if Anderson didn't like her, or if he's just having a bad day in general. He isn't looking very happy lately.

I have to wonder what CNN was thinking. I'm swearing up and down if she's all over 360 I'M GOING TO STOP WATCHING. Maybe she'll be ok, but I'm doubting it right now.

OMG! I try to give people a chance, but she's more than I can handle. I think I would prefer stiff-as-a-board Heidi Collins! Yes, Erika or John R would have been much more suitable. Chetry reminds me of the gross aunt that gets drunk at Christmas and sits on people's laps.

I'm waiting with excitement to see her interaction with Michael Ware. And Gergen. And Amanpour. Don't you?

OMG Ivy, I'd love to see how she handles one of Mick's crazy-eyed, teeth-baring, snarly rants he sometimes goes off on! Poor girl could be traumatized for life! Hee hee! And I can't imagine her getting along with Christiane Amanpour at all...

(Don't get me wrong, I love Mick's crazy-eyed, teeth-baring, snarly rants. I also love his 3AM-Baghdad-time, blurry-eyed, disheveled, sarcasm-heavy comments, the crooked smile and nod he usually gives at the end of his live pieces, the way he occasionally rolls his "r"s when pronouncing certain names (e.g. al Masri), etc. The man can do no wrong!)

It is both irritating that she got to anchor on her first day and hilarious that she is Cable News Network's official "hootchie mama!"

I have to disagree with Sharla Dawn. I think Anderson hasn't looked this happy in ages. He seems to have been in a better mood than he was before Christmas.

You can tell Kiran still has her Fox influence by the way she talks.

Erica subanchored once for Anderson and it was great. Can't for the life of me figure out why CNN hasn't used her like that since. Maybe because she anchors her own show.

@anon10:08- no, no. He's looked happy than ever on this segment, yes. Having the time of his life no doubt. But before this? Awful. Looks terrible- that's probably why they tossed him on this vacation. Then when he had to talk to Madame Hoochie Mama, the terrible, sad-looking, tired Anderson face came back.
