And now we know what he wants....

I just imagine all the ink this will spill:

Anderson Cooper: Heir, anchor, dad? “I’d like to have kids,” he tells the March Men’s Journal. “I think I’ll have a family someday.” Cooper was contemplating some other big changes in early December, when he pondered a move from his CNN post to a traditional anchor position at another network. But, he says, “Doing 22 minutes of news from a desk in New York is just not for me.”

I heard the Anns are available

Od course the Anns are available. Fortunate for AC and the universe, they are way too oldie-moldie to be fertile.

DL declared a three day mourning

Perhaps DL will finally close up shop and get out of town in route to their own proverbial funeral parlor.

It is possible for gays to adopt. Just saying.

Anonymous said...

Yes, gays can adopt, gays can do a mother for hire gig, and gay guys can marry a female and have kids the traditional way.
The topic of discussion said he wants kids and thinks he'll have a family. Just saying.

Lee said...

I'm sure everyone will put their own spin on this but all he said is that he wants kids. He's been saying that for years.

I just now figured out the "Anns" thing that you guys keep referring to, and I just wanted to clarify that I am in no way related the Anns-without-the-E. I never read the names of people who comment on the CNN blog, especially the retarded ones, so it took me a little while. But I just wanted everyone to know!

Of course you're not one of the Ann's Anne! They are Lorie Ann and Betty Ann; Betty Ann and Lorie Ann and oftentimes, Joanne.

Hey, don't forget me! I've been Raggedy Ann, Becky Ann, Joelle Ann, Marsha Ann, Annie Ann, Auntie Ann and Raggedy Andy!!!!

@lee! -- good to see you! I agree, cooper knows how to choose words carefully, so let's seat back and watch another wave of speculations.

Anonymous said...

God, I so wish this speculation will end already.

I respect it has to be under Anderson's terms, but I just wish this will end that's all...

Good for him. I think he'll make a terrific father. I wish him all the best.

Just wanted to mention: I'm not an "Ann" in disguise!
(It's actually short for "Danielle.)
Thank you for your attention. :-)

Hi Everyone!
you anon are driving me crazy, so I'm not starting with the numbers... hi to all anons....
@anne, I never thought you were one of those
@lee I haven't read the article, but the tidbit is an absolute magnet of attention.
@jenn, raggedy ann? LOL
@court, I agree with you he will be an excellent father, that baby will be very lucky.

I've read few first paragraphs from the article -- start is very interesting.

MediaDoc said...

You got it? It haven/t arrive down here... what are you waiting to scan it and share it with the me, miss third world country? joking
I think it might be a very differnt interview from what we are used to from him.

Anderson needs to have babies. He's got to pass on those incredible genes of his. I just hope he stays true to himself and doesn't try to "conform" for any reason.

Anonymous said...

Uh..Anderson does know where babies come from right? He'd probably make a great dad, but he's going to have to cut back on travel and stop putting himself in dangerous regions of the world if he's serious about a family.

@anon 4:19
If he wants to have a baby it will be under his terms, its HIS LIFE, and he shouldn't care a rat ass for anyone's opinion, nor society or communities expentacies about it. It's not like anyone other than him will be in charge of changing diapers, feeding and taking care of the child.
Children ARE NOT PROPS!

Since AC is going to hit 40 this year, I'm sure he's wondering about the whole "family" thing. I'm guessing that this may have something to do with his recent "Should I leave CNN" decision. If he worked at a 22-minute network news program, perhaps he'd have more time for a family.

Bottomline, he'd make a wonderful father whether it's a child of his own or one adopted and I hope he is blessed with that...he most definitely deserves it!!!!

Now I need to go out and get that damn Magazine!!!!!

Oh...BTW...I noticed there is a Carol Ann posting on the AC360 blog now! The list just keeps getting bigger...LOL

I'm sure that Anderson would be a good father. Oh. And whoever becomes the "receiver" of those beautiful genes of his will be very lucky. And so is the baby mama. In my opinion.
